

Ina Belle Dean, 81, of Brunswick passed peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at Hospice of the Golden Isles. The family will receive friends, Monday, June 10, 2013 from 6-8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home at 11 AM on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 with Rev. Craig Hartzog officiating. Burial will follow at Palmetto Cemetery.
Ina was born September 17, 1931 in Toccoa, Georgia to the late Richard and Ida Belle Ledford. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church in Brunswick.
As a young girl she attended the Tamassee DAR School in Tamassee SC. The school was founded in 1919 by the South Carolina Daughters of the American Revolution to provide a formal education to children in the rural Appalachian Mountains.
She was an accomplished doll maker for over 50 years and enjoyed what she did. She and her husband Winston spent many years traveling to craft shows in the Eastern US, Ina as a doll maker and her husband Winston as a toymaker. Ina had a great sense of humor and will be missed by many. She is now at peace and with the love of her life of over 60 years, L Winston Dean, Sr.
She is survived by her two children: Leo W Dean, Jr. (Sue) of Brunswick and Deborah Gerock (James) of Texas; Four sisters: Kate Corbett of New Smyrna Beach FL, Annie Decsy of Rock Hill SC, Carolyn Ledford of Clayton, GA, Cecile McCauley of Greensboro NC; four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles or to the Tamassee School, PO box 8 Tamassee SC 29686 or to Northside Baptist church, Brunswick, GA
