Jacquelyn Harper Tucker of Brunswick, Georgia entered peacefully into heaven on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at Hospice of the golden Isles. She was born in Irwin County the daughter of the late Randall Harper and the late Jewell Jones Harper. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Burnell Tucker; a daughter, Sherry Lynn Ray; two brothers, Lanell and J.C. Harper; one sister, Jeanette Carver.
Jacquelyn had resided in Brunswick for the last 60 years and was retired from the Department of Family and Children Services (DFAC). She was also a member of Southside Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family more than anything. She also enjoyed gardening, bowling, playing solitaire, and watching crime mysteries on television. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tammie and Alfred Drury and her son-in-law, Ricky Ray; five grandchildren, Christopher Alan Smith, Stephanie Michelle Edenfield, Erin Marie Wages, Christopher Daniel Drury, and Donald Burnell Drury. Eleven great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.
A funeral service to honor Jacquelyn’s life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 10, 2021 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell Joiner officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
