James Leon (Jimmy) Johns, III

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, Thursday, August 14, 2014 at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend Sammy Chancey officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service.

Jimmy was born April 17, 1 958 in Brunswick, Ga. He resided in Atlanta, Ga. For 25 years, where he worked in Industrial heating and air, before moving back to Brunswick 6 years ago, for health reasons. He is a graduate of Glynn Academy and a member if Norwich Baptist Church. Jimmy loved T.V., Cooking, NASCAR, and fishing.

Jimmy is predeceased by his Grandparents, James L. Sr. and Lula Johns, William T. Harvey (Bill), Uncle Mike Harvey, and Cousin Daniel Harvey.

Jimmy is survived by his parents James L. Johns, Jr. (J. L.) and Phyllis Harvey Johns, Sister and Brother in Law, Julie and Jody Grimes, (Heather and Kyle), Grandmother, Ethel Harvey, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy’s cousins, Ricky Powell, Gary Miller, Jeffery Johns, Jason Johns, Nephew Kyle Grimes, and his best friend Kim Davis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Donna Courson, Sherrie and Donnie West, and Carroll Minchew.

Family requests in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, GA 31525
