Jean Elizabeth Worthington

Jeanie was born on October 30, 1952, in Brunswick, Georgia, where she was raised and spent most of her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose kindness and faith touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Worthington; her children, Casey Worthington (Denise Worthington, née Hann) and Ryan Worthington; and her cherished grandsons, Preston Hann and Radley Worthington, who were the joy of her life. She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends, all of whom she kept close to her heart.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert Watson, Sr. and Imogene Watson, and her brother, Robert Watson, Jr.

Jeanie was a dedicated nurse who devoted her career to caring for others and teaching CNA classes, helping shape and inspire countless caregivers. Her compassion, patience, and strong will were evident both in her profession and in her personal life.

She had a deep love for homemade crafts and took great joy in making people smile. Spending time with her grandsons, family, and many friends meant everything to her. Her faith was central to her life; her love for Jesus and her church family at Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick, Georgia, was unwavering and evident to all who knew her.

Jeanie will be remembered as a radiant, patient, and strong-willed woman whose warmth, faith, and love left a lasting legacy. She will be deeply missed and forever treasured by those who were blessed to know her.

A memorial service to honor Jeanie will be held at 10:30am on Tuesday December 30,2025 at Calvary Baptist Church in Brunswick, GA.
