Jesse James Howe

Mr. Howe was a native of Glynn County and been a lifelong resident of Thalmann. He was employed with the Railroad at Kings Bay Naval Sub Base in Camden County from 1968 to 1987. He was a former employee with the railroad for 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Ruby Harrison Howe.

Survivors are two daughters, Ruby Dubberly of Jesup, GA, and Linda Howe of Brunswick, two sons, Jimmy Howe of Thalmann and Johnnie Howe of Hortense, GA, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 O’Clock Sunday 1/30/11 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Drury officiating. Interment will follow in Whitaker Hill Cemetery in Brantley County.

Active pallbearers will be: William Wray, Joey Wray, John Howe, Kenneth Dubberly, Christopher Bowers, Ben Wray, Kyle Wray, John Bowers and Zachery Dubberly.

The family request those wishing may make contributions to the Hospice of South Georgia in Jesup, GA. The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Saturday 1/29/10.
