JoAnn T. Townsend Hope

Mrs. Hope was a native of McIntosh and was a resident of Brunswick Most of her Life. She was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church in Brunswick. She was retired from the U. S. Postal Service in Brunswick after 20 years as a Clerk. She was a member of the American Postal Workers Union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford N. Hope, Sr, and two grandsons, Clifford N. Hope, III and Sean Wetherby.

Survivors are a daughter, Diane Hope Smith (Don) of Jacksonville, Fl., three sons, Cliff N. Hope, Jr (Sue) of Daytona Beach, Fl. , Darrell Hope (Beverly) of Brunswick and Brian Hope (Denesh) of Waverly, Ga., brothers, Tavy Townsend (Ellen) of Darien, Gene Townsend (Sheri) of Fernandina Beach, Fl., sisters, Connie Davis (Paul) of Darien and Maude Porter of Brunswick, grandchildren, Natalie Blackard, Matthew McDonald, Kayla Chancey, Allen Harrell, Justin Hope, Nikki Hope, Corey Wetherby, and Allison Smith and six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM Thursday in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ed Hurst officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Cliff Hope, Darrell Hope, Brian Hope, Don Smith, Justin Hope, Natalie Blackard, Matthew McDonald and Allison Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be: Dr. William Laws and Dr. Erick Bournigal and members of the Home Ministerial at Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

The family request contributions to the Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, Georgia or the Building Fund of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church and will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday night.
