Johnny Roberson

Johnny Roberson, 52, of Townsend, GA passed away Sunday January 23, 2011 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles. Funeral Service will be held 11 am. Wednesday January 26, 2011 at the Darien Church of God with Rev. Tommy Whaley and Rev. Danny Stillwell officiating. Interment will follow the service in Plum Orchard Cemetery in Cox, GA. Serving pallbearers are Mr. Joe Floyd, Mr. Larry Lanier, Mr. Jerry Whaley, Mr. David Millek, Mr. Gary Ryals, and Mr. Bill Rozier.

Family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 pm.- 8 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Roberson was a native of Brantley County born February 21, 1958, the son of the late Dodge Roberson and the late Reba Jean Lewis Mincey.. He had been a resident of McIntosh County for thirty five years. Mr. Roberson was a self employed painter and a member of the Darien Church of God.

Survivors include his wife Gwen Roberson of Townsend; his daughter Joy Roberson Mitchell and husband Chris of Darien; grandchildren Brandt, Deniacia and Riley Mitchell all of Darien; special nephew Martey Roberson of Brunswick; a sister Barbara Roberson; three brothers David, Carl, and Joe Roberson; and several nieces and nephews.
