Joseph William Nathaniel Hickey

Joseph, also known as Nathan by his close family and friends, was the 3rd of 4 children of Tara Hickey. He is preceded in death by his niece MiShea Nevaeh Brown, Great Uncle Dewey and Great Aunt Colleen Wyrick of Brunswick, GA, and one of his best friends Nathan Keppell of Iowa.

He is survived by his mother Tara Hickey and father William Evans, grandmother Suzette Hickey, his sisters Nicole Perkins and Christi Kehler, his brothers Stephen Hickey (wife Alice Hickey) and Richard Perkins, nephews Brandon Kehler (AKA Little Brother), Zayden Kehler and Kaysen Hickey, nieces Trinity Kehler, Gracie Hickey, Harper Hickey and Isobel Hickey, his uncle Simon Huston (wife Caroline Sanfillipo), cousins Joey and Anna Huston, Great Aunt Lynn Hickey(Keokuk,Iowa), life-partner Kristina Gwinnett, as well as several extended family members and friends in both Georgia and Iowa.

Nathan was born in Keokuk, Iowa and moved between Georgia and Iowa throughout his life. He enjoyed the outdoors very much and loved to enjoy the beauty of the world. He loved fishing, he also had 2 aquariums that he tended to everyday. He loved cooking, drawing, playing games, reading, and anime. He was interested in learning obscure facts and could carry on the most interesting conversations. You could expect to see him walk into any room with a big toothy smile on his face and either a witty remark or a pleasant greeting. He was always so happy. Everyone who met him always remarked on what a nice young man he was. He cared deeply for everyone and would do his best to help anyone out with anything.

His family will have a visitation memorial on Saturday March 15, 2025, from 2-5:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA, for all who want to share their memories and pay their respects to this wonderful young man.
