Joseph Brown Spaulding

Joseph Brown Spaulding, 84, of Brunswick, GA went to his heavenly rest on Wednesday, April 21, 2010. A lifelong native of Glynn County, he was the son of the late Capt. Joe Spaulding and the late Dollie Belle Brown Spaulding. Mr. Spaulding was a WWII Navy Veteran stationed in the South Pacific. He was retired from Brunswick Pulp and Win-Dixie in Brunswick. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church. Mr. Spaulding was a loving devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather who loved to watch his grandkids play softball and loved to fish.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Spaulding was preceded in death by his loving wife of 56 years Ida Lee Martin Spaulding.

Survivors include his daughter Ronda Tindall (husband Joe) and his son Terrell Spaulding, Sr. (wife Linda) both of Brunswick, GA; his seven grandchildren Lenora Mellinger (husband Steve) of Brunswick, GA, Terrell Spaulding, Jr. of Brunswick, GA, Wayne Tindall (wife Catina) of Brunswick, GA, David Spaulding of Savannah, GA, Sean Tindall (wife Allison) of Brunswick, GA, Tina Cook (husband Greg) of Hersey, MI, and Jaime Raby (husband Glynn) of Waynesville, GA; 14 Great Grandchildren, one Great-Great Grandchild Jobie Lee Neal and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, April 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM at St. James Lutheran Church with Reverend John Anderson officiating. Entombment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be his grandchildren Terrell Spaulding, Jr., David Spaulding, Wayne Tindall, Sean Tindall, Glynn Raby, Steve Mellinger, and great grandchildren Brandon Spaulding, and Travis Tindall.

Honorary pallbearers will be Carl Torkelson, Joe Martinez, and the Employees of Winn Dixie on Altama.
