

Born on November 6, 1988, to Gwendolyn Bayhylle and Dean Monongye, Joshua was a life-long fan of the Green Bay Packers and an avid sports fan altogether. He began playing baseball at an early age, but also showcased his athletic abilities in football, wrestling, and boxing. Baseball remained the #1 sport in his heart.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Edwin Bayhylle, Evonne Bayhylle, and Nelson Monongye; his uncles, Bradley Monongye and Allen Bayhylle; and a cousin, Alan Gonnie.
He is survived by his parents, Dean Monongye and Gwendolyn Bayhylle-Monongye; sisters, Ruby Ellzy (Bernard) and Deanna Smith (Jacob); brothers, Edwin Bayhylle-Monongye (Freda), Baptiste Bayhylle-Monongye, Kyle Monongye, Branon Monongye, and Levi Victor; nephew, Jose Garcia (Mica); nieces, Breyonna Wilson, Daizi Ellzy, Kiyara Monongye, Kiyana Monongye, Kiyala Monongue, Monica Smith, Sophia Smith, Candice Lopez, Yvette Lopez, and Seantay Garcia; grandson, Ashton Lopez-Peterson; and a granddaughter, Lucinda Lopez.
Joshua’s love for his family was unrivaled, especially the care he held for his nieces. Above all other things, he was a family man who prioritized those closest to him.
A memorial service will be held at The Remnant Church in Brunswick, Georgia, on September 24, 2023 at 4:00 PM.
