Josh was diagnosed with a disability at birth but showed the world he was a resilient fighter! Despite his disability, he learned to walk at the age of 6 and was such a loving, caring person! Josh loved going to church and, on occasion, would play the drums while his granny played the piano. He loved music and singing, but most of all he enjoyed being with his family. Josh will be missed by all the people whose lives he touched.
An infant sister, Mandy Lynn Lewis; paternal grandfather, Jerome Lewis and maternal grandparents, Melvin and Valenie Johnson preceded him in death.
Josh is survived by his parents, Doug and Brenda Johnson Lewis; a sister and her husband, Ashely and Ethan Varnedoe; his grandmother, Rita Lewis and nephews, Jase and Finn Varnedoe. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 pm and will be officiated by Reverend Lanis Lewis, Reverend Gary Lewis and Reverend Harold Hand. Burial will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jacob, Jake and Jason Johnson, Derek Lewis, Tyrone Morgan and Ethan Varnedoe.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hospice of the Golden Isles for all their concern and love for Josh.
