Born June 2, 1929 in Sebring, Ohio to the late John and Jessie Reddy, she was a retired secretary with Crumbliss and Associates. Mrs. Reed had been a resident of Glynn County for over 60 years and was a past member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid reader and loved to cross stitch. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, George Lewis Reed; a son, Daniel Jonathan Reed; a son-in-law, Thomas H. Dirkes and a sister, Joanne Gray.
Survivors include her two daughters, Dr. Amy C. Swan (and husband Don Cacippo) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Lori Reed Dirkes of Brunswick; a granddaughter, Amy Brooke Swan (Bob Ackerman); a brother, John Alfred Reddy, Jr.; a sister, Janet Avon Welsh and several nieces and nephews.
No formal memorial service is planned at this time.
