Katherine Perry Perry Clarke

Mrs. Clarke was a native of Valdosta, Georgia, but resided in Brunswick, Georgia most of her childhood. She later moved to Saint Simons Island as a young adult. She was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert Edgar Perry Jr. and the late Katherine Sugden Perry. She was the loving wife to the late Charles Patrick Clarke. Mrs. Clarke was a successful realtor and property manager in Glynn County for several years. She was a graduate of Glynn Academy. She was the Cheerleader Captain in 1964, the year Glynn Academy won the state championship. She was a past member of the Cherokee Gardening Club. She was also a member of Christ Church Federica on Saint Simons Island, Georgia.

Mrs. Clarke is survived by her son, Abner Taylor Zachry III (Lisa) of Saint Simons Island, GA; a daughter, Katherine Perry Zachry of Saint Simons Island, GA; one brother, Robert Edgar Perry III of Saint Simons Island, GA; a sister, Nan Perry Hawkins of Marietta, GA. Three grandchildren also survive.

A memorial service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, June 17, 2016 in the cemetery of Christ Church Frederica on Saint Simons Island, Georgia. Father Alan Akridge will officiate the service.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to the Human Society or Hospice of the Golden Isles.
