Kathleen Wood Carroll

Kathleen W. Carroll, 78, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10AM Saturday, October 3, 2015 at Golden Isles Church of God with Pastor Ray Dawson officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Charles Newsome, Scott Duncan, Steve Hutchinson, John Handley Bill Brewer, and Tony Chasteen, Jr. serving as pallbearers. Born May 26, 1937 in Toombs County, Georgia to the late Ervin and Lucille F. Wood, she was a retired EKG Technician from SGHS. Mrs. Carroll had been a resident of Glynn County for over 60 years, and was a member of Golden Isles Church of God. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert C. Carroll, and a brother, Robert Wood. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Crews and husband Joseph Edward of Brunswick, a son, Dewayne Carroll and wife Betty of Brunswick, three grandchildren, Haley Duncan and husband Scott, Ashley Carroll, and Monica Carroll, a great grandson, Grayson Alexander Duncan, and a special friend, Joann Spivey of Brunswick.
