Kenneth Harold Amiano

Mr. Amiano was born December 22, 1923 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania the son of the late Frank Amiano and the late Octavia Ray Amiano. He was the devoted husband for over sixty years to the late Catherine Laverne Amiano. They were blessed to have three children. Mr. Amiano served his country with honors during WWII with the United States Army Signal Corp in Germany. He was a retired steelworker, working thirty-three years for the Jones and Laughlin Steel Corporation. After his retirement, he moved with his wife to the island in 2000 to be close to his family. Mr. Amiano was also a proud Member of the American Legion for over sixty years.

Mr. Amiano was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife and precious daughter, Lynn Amiano. He is survived by a daughter, Suzanne Amiano of Saint Simons Island, GA; one son, Kenneth F. Amiano (Mary) of Saint Simons Island, GA; a granddaughter, Leigh Amiano; one grandson, Nick Amiano (Rachel); two great-grandchildren, Elijah and Charlotte Amiano.

Mr. Amiano will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
