

Lee Roy "Red" Brooker, 90, of Brunswick, went home to be with His Savior, Tuesday, December 22, 2015. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Don Spires officiating. Daniel Underwood, Ron Dasher, Lee Holley, Doug Talley, Brett Haddock, Bryan Haddock, and Don Bankston will serve as pallbearers. Interment will follow Chapel Park Cemetery for family.
Lee Roy Brooker was born April 27, 1925 in Nahunta, Georgia to the late John W. and Annie Mae K. Brooker. He was a Veteran of The US Navy Serving in WWII, and was at Pearl Harbor. He was also a Veteran of The US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Brooker was retired as a maintenance supervisor with Allied Chemical. He had been a resident of Glynn County for 85 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman, and artist. He also enjoyed Bible study and spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Roscoe Brooker.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Betty Jo Brooker of Brunswick, two daughters, Vicki Haddock and her husband Walker of Birmingham, AL, and Beverly Dasher and her husband Byron of Augusta, GA. He had 5 grandchildren, Bryan(Kristin)Haddock, Brett(Suzi) Haddock, Brooke(Doug) Talley, Lindsay(Lee) Holley and Ron(Lindsey) Dasher, and 10 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday morning, December 26, 2015 from 10 AM until the funeral hour at Calvary Baptist Church. Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.edomillerandsons.com
