Linda Louise Souter, 69, of Brunswick, left to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 27, 2018 after her bout with Ovarian Cancer. Funeral services will be conducted at 11am July 31, 2018 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, with Rev. Ken Creekmore officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery with Jamie Souter, Jared Aldridge, Gary Parmenter, Trent Kaszas, Bob Causey and Lee Allen serving as pallbearers. Dr. Scott Clay, Pete Harper and Buddy Webb will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
Born July 30, 1948 in Glynn County, GA she was the daughter of the late Anita and J.C. Souter, Jr., of Brunswick, GA and lived on the Souter's Pineview Dairy property until she went to Heaven. Linda graduated from Glynn Academy in 1966 and furthered her education at Georgia Southern to become a teacher. Linda had the desire to follow in her mother’s footsteps and attended Brunswick College where she completed her nursing degree. Linda served the community for many years as a Registered Nurse at the hospital and Hospice of the Golden Isles before her retirement in 2010, then continued at Gateway part time. She touched many hearts during her nursing career and her love for life and passion for helping others. Linda was a champion bowler for many years and an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She cared for her pets beyond belief. She had a love for history and Jekyll Island was very close to her heart. Linda along with her mother Anita were very active TOPS members throughout the years.
She is survived by her brother Jimmy Souter and Glenda, a nephew Jamie Souter and Jessica, and two great nephews, J.C. Souter and Jared Aldridge all of Brunswick.
