

Mr. Corbitt was born November 20, 1932 in Willacoochee, GA to Thomas Henry Corbitt and Forrest Lee Cason Corbitt. He moved to Alma, GA when he was a small boy and then joined the U.S. Navy on the USS Bremerton from1952 to 1956. He then moved to Brunswick and was employed with the City of Brunswick Fire Dept. from April 1957 until his retirement in 1990, as an Engineer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ann Ganas and Mary Medders, two brothers, Richard Corbitt and infant brother, Cyril Corbitt, one half-brother, Otis Corbitt and a half sister, Margaret Cadle.
Survivors are his wife of 56 years, Annie Ruth Tanner Corbitt of Brunswick, a son, Phillip Corbitt (ElizaBeth) of Brunswick, three daughters, Pamela Talley (Robert) of Brunswick, Pattie Dobozin of Murrieta, CA, and Polly Davis (Michael) of Brunswick, and eight (8) grandchildren and four (4) great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 O’Clock Tuesday morning, Dec. 27th, 2011 in the Chapel of the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Jones officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home prior to the services from 10 to 11 AM Tuesday and request in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the New Life Sanctuary Church, 940 Harry Driggers Blvd., Brunswick, GA 31525.
Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements.
