

Lloyd Popwell Miller, 76, of Brunswick, departed this life Sunday, February 7, 2021 at SGHS Brunswick. A celebration of life gathering will take place Saturday, February 20, 2021 from 3pm until 5pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
Born February 11, 1944 in Brunswick to the late Jimmie A. Miller and Mary B. Eason, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1962. After attending business school, Lloyd joined the US Navy and was a corpsman. After serving his country he became a conductor for Amtrak and resided in Jacksonville until his retirement. After returning to Brunswick in 2009, Lloyd became employed with Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, which his grandfather founded in 1912. Lloyd worked visitations and funeral services until the middle of January of 2021. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter who were his whole world. Lloyd was also an avid Georgia Bulldog fan. He was a robust and patriotic character, and will be missed by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Steve Miller and Jeannette Miller Harnacke.
He is survived by a sister, Shirley Miller Felton, a brother, Frank Brock, grandchildren Taylor Atwell DeSanto and Ian Atwell, great grandchild, Thea DeSanto, and a daughter Anne Marie Austin, and granddaughter Erica Hernandez, nieces and nephews, Stevie Anderson and Evie Anderson Vaughn, John Jr, Jimmie, and Jason Harnacke, Ted and Kelly Brock, along with several great-nieces and nephews, and his dearest friend Betty Willis.
