Madge Barnhill McKenzie

Although Madge was born in Glenville, Georgia and was a resident of St. Simons Island since 1958, she enjoyed traveling the world with her late husband, Ted McKenzie, Jr.

She was an active member of St. Simons United Methodist church, where she was engaged in several groups and activities. She was also well known for her competitive bridge playing.

Madge was preceded in death by both parents, Archie and Winnie Mae Barnhill; her beloved husband, Theodore Sanford McKenzie, Jr.; and two nephews, Lee Kicklighter and David Rogers.

She is survived by her two sons, Mike Mckenzie (Denisha) and Matthew McKenzie; two grandchildren, Benjamin McKenzie and Maegan McKenzie; one brother, Ronnie Barnhill (Margaret); two sisters, Maryland Kicklighter and Gail Rogers; three nephews, Jeff Kicklighter, Scott Rogers and Ronnie Barnhill; and two nieces, Rhoda Walker and Julie Kicklighter.

A graveside service will be held at 10 AM on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens, located at 5775 Frederica Road, St. Simons Island, Georgia, 31522.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home of Brunswick, Georgia have been entrusted with final arrangements.
