Malcolm L. Mock, Jr., 78, of Brunswick, departed this life Saturday, November 3, 2018, at Hospice of the Golden Isles. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 10, 2018, at Palmetto Cemetery with The Reverend Doctor Mike Cordle officiating.
Born September 9, 1940 in Brunswick, Georgia to the late Malcom L. Mock, Sr. and Lorraine Belle J. Mock, he was a graduate of Glynn Academy High School, class of 1958, and a graduate of Auburn University with a BS degree in Industrial Engineering. Mr. Mock was also a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the US Air Force Reserve. He completed 32 years of dedicated Federal Service for the Defense Contract Management Agency for the US Department of Defense. Mr. Mock enjoyed travel abroad and was stationed in Germany at one point with his career.
Survivors include a daughter, Joy Carden and husband Carlton of Sandy Springs, GA, a son, Malcolm Mock, III, of Denver, CO, a granddaughter, Melinda Lee Carden, two brothers, Michael Mock and wife Melinda of Brunswick, and Rex Mock and wife Cheryl of Jacksonville, FL, a former wife, Melinda (Gibbs) Parrish (Jack) of Columbia, SC, two nieces and one nephew.
