Marcia Kaye Glover Metheny

Marcia Kaye Metheny, 42, of Brunswick, died unexpectedly after a brief illness, Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Hospice of The Golden Isles. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Monday, January 17, 2011 at Lakeside United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Combs officiating.

Marcia was born June 10, 1968 in Frederick, Maryland to Gary Allen Glover Sr. and Marcia Candace Stephens Christmas. She was a tracking clerk with United Community Bank in Brunswick. Mrs. Metheny was a 1986 graduate of East Preston Sr. High School in Terra Alta, WV, and attended Lakeside United Methodist Church in Brunswick. She was an avid supporter of Relay for Life and enjoyed reading, the beach and video games. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benjamin and Sarah Stephens, Ralph Glover, and several uncles.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Timothy B. “Tim” Metheny of Brunswick, two daughters, Candace Danielle Danni Metheny and Kayla Michele Metheny, both of Brunswick, parents, Gary A Glover Sr. and wife Rhonda of Terra Alta, WV, Marcia C. Christmas and husband Carroll of Brunswick, paternal grandmother, Wilma Glover of Terra Alta, WV, two brothers, Benjamin “Benji” Glover and Laura of Oakland, MD, Gary A. “Chip” Glover II and wife Chandra of Townsend, father and mother in law, Howard and Barbara Metheny of Terra Alta, WV, sister in law, Kimberly Trujillo of Morgantown, WV, one aunt Vonda Garbutt (David) of Brunswick, five uncles, Kirby D. Stephens of Brunswick, Keith D. Stephens of Lawrenceville, GA, Victor Audie Stephens (Susie) of Red Oak, IA, Ralph Glover, Jr. (Marti-Lou) of Charleston, WV, and David Glover (Cindy) of Terra Alta, WV, several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 PM unitl 8 PM at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice of The Golden Isles, 1692 Glynco Parkway, Brunswick, Ga 31525.
