Born in Brunswick, Georgia, Bunny was the beloved daughter of the late Sherman Skipper and Ruby Gamble Skipper. She was also preceded in death by her devoted husband of 64 years, David Jackson; her daughter, Denise Jackson; and her siblings, Louise Skipper Clifton, Sherman Skipper Jr., Genevia Skipper Smith, Allie Skipper Carter, William "Bill" Skipper, and Linda Skipper Bare.
Bunny is survived by her loving son, Skipper Jackson; her cherished grandchildren, Jonathon Pennington (Brittany), Lizzy Thomas (Dillon), Victor Pennington (Dani), Tori Pennington, and Brandon Jackson; as well as several Great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will continue to carry her memory in their hearts.
Bunny began her working life at a country store owned by her parents, where she worked until the age of 30. She then devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family, embracing her roles as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with deep love and care. She found great joy in gardening, tending to both flowers and vegetables, and she held a strong and abiding faith in God. Her love for her church and her family was the cornerstone of her life.
Visitation and funeral services will be held on Monday 27,2026, at Sterling Baptist Church, with Pastor Rick Williams officiating. A burial service will follow at Palmetto Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be John Pennington, Jonathon Pennington, Victor Pennington, Dillon Thomas, Kelly Bare, and Johnny Smith.
If there ever was an angel on earth, Bunny was it. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is now at peace in heaven.
