Michael was a faithful congregation member and attended The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Brunswick, Georgia. On July 8, 2023, he was baptized. A goal of which he set for himself and accomplished with the help of Brother William Wright. Michael enjoyed playing sports, especially tennis and pool with long time childhood friend Hershell Neil Thomas and cousin Joe Jones. He was an avid reader and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. Later in life he picked up fishing as a hobby which he thoroughly enjoyed.
Michael battled kidney disease for many years. Every day wasn't a good one, most days were out right tough, but he remained hopeful, faithful, and fought not just the disease but to be the best version of himself for his family, children, and grandchildren, but more importantly his great grandchildren. He pushed himself spiritually to be pleasing in Jehovah's eyes and to serve him diligently. For that, we can most certainly say he successfully achieved his goal.
