Michael Allen Sutton

Michael Allen Sutton, 65, of St. Simons Island, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be held at 4PM Monday, April 20, 2015 at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in Baxley, Georgia with Rev. Darrell Quinn officiating.

Born December 16, 1949 in Macon, Georgia to the late John V. and Mary Frank G. Sutton, he was a retired instructor at Plant Hatch in Baxley. Mr. Sutton had been a resident of Glynn County for the past eight years and was of the Methodist Faith. He enjoyed reading, golf, telling stories and traveling. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Annette Milburn.

Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Lois Sutton of St. Simons Island, two sons, Michael Sutton and wife Regina and Jes Sutton, all of Baxley, three daughters, Tonya Smith of Suwanee, GA, Stacy Branch of Martinez, GA, and Shelli Dubberly and husband Brandon of Baxley, six grandchildren, Josh Smith, Darienne Coleman, Matthew Sutton, Bryn Coleman, Sarah Sutton, and Jaden Dubberly, a brother, Buddy Sutton and wife Annie of Yulee, FL, and a sister, Linda Murtaugh of Brunswick.
