Ollie Dalton Manning

Ollie was born in Offerman, Georgia and was one of nine children born to John and Anna Belle Davis Manning. He married Nelda Faye Yawn on March 13, 1948, and the couple raised three children. Ollie was a long-time member of Blythe Island Baptist Church and had a strong faith in the Lord. He worked as a Rigger at Hercules from 1959 until retirement in 1990 and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #717. His hobbies included gardening, especially pruning grapevines and giving the grapes away. He loved visiting nursing homes, hospitals and homebound people. Most of all he loved Jesus and always took the time to witness and share his faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife of seventy-four and a half years, Faye; his son, Larry; his parents, John and Anna Belle, and all eight of his siblings.

He is survived by two daughters, Judy Dixon (Johnny) of Brunswick and Pamela DeWalt (Mark) of Emmaus, PA; eight grandchildren, Terry Dixon (Pam) of Brunswick, Chad Dixon (Jeannie) of Mt. Pleasant, Katherine Jones of McRae, Michael Manning (Mandy) of Brunswick, Brandon DeWalt (Sarah) of Willow Street, PA; Joshua DeWalt (Meredith) of Pittsburgh, PA, Brittany Leh (Kyle) of Easton, PA and Mikaela Supplee (Drew) of Allentown, PA and several great and great-great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 30, 2026, in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Tim Brown officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Brunswick Memorial Park Cemetery. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
