Regina Joyce Borders

Regina was born in Aiken, South Carolina the daughter of the late Lester c. Davis and the late Dorothy Williams Davis. She was also preceded in death by a son, Troy James Borders; two brothers, Wayne Davis and Jimmy Davis; also a sister, Jackie Conroy.

Regina’s family moved to Brunswick when she was a young child and she attended Glynn Academy. When she was 22 years old, she married the love of her life, Ron Borders, and they began a wonderful life together and were blessed with a loving family. She was of the Baptist faith and was a proud patriot of the United States. She will be remembered for her devoted love for her family and her cooking. Her grandchildren was the center of her attention and spending time with her family was always important to her. She was an artistic lady and was a gifted painter. She had a love for animals, the outdoors and fishing. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories are her devoted husband of 52 years, Ron Borders of Waverly, GA; her daughter, Mahalia Borders of Brunswick, GA; a son, Shane Borders (Denise) of Newnan, GA; 12 grandchildren, Chasity, Brannon, Tony, Rhett, Lacey, Ryan, Cohen, Tristen, Morgan, Danielle, Brock, and Landen; also her precious great grandchildren, Addie, Jax, Davie, Kaden, and one the way Charlie Ray, Aiden, Eli, Alexander, Anna Bell, Bentley, Scarlett Lynn, Beau, Sidney Lynn, and one more on the way; also a sister, Jerry Carter. She also leaves behind a special canine companion that she loved immensely, Charlie Brown.

A celebration of life service will be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, July 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. You are cordially invited to join the family in celebrating a life that was so well lived. A catered reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Stroke Association.
