

He was born in Anderson, IN on July 12, 1946 and is preceded in death by his parents Fredamae and Owen Ralph Hiday. After serving his country in the United States Air Force, he joined the Border Patrol in El Paso, TX. He was then promoted to Special Agent with the Immigration and Naturalization Service in Tampa, FL. Upon retirement, he came to Brunswick, GA as a Firearms and Immigration Law Instructor at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, and as a court security officer with Federal Court in Brunswick, GA.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Hatfield Hiday, of St. Simons Island, GA; his daughter, Stephanie Hiday, of Tampa, FL; sons, Jason Hiday, of Cleveland, OH and Bobby Hiday, of Tampa, FL; siblings, Doug Hiday and Cheryl Cooper, both of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Sophie Lingen, of Crawfordsville, IN, Parker and Payton Hiday, of Tampa, FL; nieces Alisha Hiday Pierce (James) and Manda Hiday (Vicki), of Anderson, IN.
As an everlasting offering, Bob gifted his brain as a donation through CurePSP and Mayo Clinic, to further advance neurological research.
The family is forever grateful for the care and compassion provided by the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
A private inurnment service will be held at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, TX at a later date.
