Robert Neal Kingsbury

Robert Neal Kingsbury, 81, of Brunswick, departed this life Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at Senior Care in Brunswick. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Tuesday May 3, 2016 at Norwich Baptist Church with Rev. Art Cyphers officiating. John Cochran, Ralph Cook, Jonathan Trawick, Reid Trawick, Tony Beaver, and Wayne Cochran will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be members of VFW Post 4092 and Deacons of Norwich Baptist Church.

Born January 5, 1935 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late William and Nell Kingsbury, he was a retired US Navy Veteran having served in Vietnam. After his military retirement Mr. Kingsbury worked for Sea Palms as Chief Engineer. He had been a resident of Glynn County since 1977, and was a member of Norwich Street Baptist Church. He was also a former Quarter Master for VFW Post 4092. Mr. Kingsbury enjoyed playing bingo, and also visiting his family’s cabin in the mountains.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Lorraine C. Kingsbury of Brunswick, children, James Cochran and wife Olga of Sandown, NH, Karen Beaver and husband Tony of Brunswick, Wayne Cochran and wife Reba of Gilbert, AZ, John Cochran and wife Sandy of Marietta, GA, Ralph Cook of Brunswick, Bobby Kingsbury and wife Bonnie, Mike Kingsbury, and Jeff Kingsbury, 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great granddaughter, brothers David Kingsbury and wife Sally, Tom Kingsbury and sisters Lois Fairbrother of Maitland, FL, and Gloria Thacker and husband Cecil of Flatwoods, KY.
