Robert Trainor McNaney

Mr. McNaney was a life- long Chicagoan who also called Jekyll Island home for more than two decades.

He is survived by his wife Janice-the love of his life for 54 years, daughters Susan Scoville(William), Mary Bishop, sons Robert Jr(Trisha), and James(Joan). Mr. McNaney cherished his 9 grandchildren, Katie, Michael, Tommy, Bobby, Clare , Sarah, Meghan, Jack and Bridget.

Mr. McNaney was preceeded in death by his father Leo, mother Lauretta and brother Leo.

An accomplished attorney, Mr. McNaney retired from the Brunswick Corporation as Vice President and General Counsel after a 38 year career with the Lake Forest, Illinois company.

Mr. McNaney was educated at Loyola University, Loyola University Law School, Harvard University, John Carroll University and Oak Park’s Fenwick High School. His love was his family, his passion was the law.

Mass of Christian Burial will be/was held April 25th,2013 at Notre Dame Catholic Church in Clarendon Hills, Illinois. Visitation at the church beginning at 10 a.m., with mass at 11 a.m. Mr. McNaney will be/was laid to rest at Bronswood Cemetery , Oak Brook, Illinois.
