Robert Kelly Pease

Pease, Mr. Robert K., age 76 of St. Simons Island, Georgia, passed away on January 30, 2016. Born May 14, 1939 in Keithsburg, Illinois, he graduated from Keithsburg (Illinois) High School and served in the United States Navy. Preceded in death by his wife of 48 years, Karen, and by his parents, Loren and Thelma Pease. Survived by his sons, Gregory J. (Stephanie) Pease, Franklin, Tennessee, and Robert C. (Marel) Pease, Kirkland, Washington, four grandchildren and sister Diane (Terry) Parsons, Galena, Illinois. Also survived by friend Karen Stickle.

Bob was an accomplished textile business executive who started his career with G. Mathes Company in St. Louis, then joined Steiner-Liff Industries in Nashville and finally served as a division president with Leggett & Platt, Inc. in both Villa Rica, Georgia and in Nashville. After his retirement from Leggett & Platt, Inc., Bob was a consultant to Martex Fiber, Spartanburg, South Carolina.

A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend, Bob’s interests included reading, golf and running, and he completed several marathons.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
