

Roland Donald Moore Sr. was known as RD by his family and friends. He was born May 29, 1927 in Jacksonville, Florida to the late Clayton William Moore and the late Lena Modena Moore. He spent his childhood years in Jacksonville, Florida and moved to Brunswick in 1950. He became the devoted husband of sixty-four years to Maryann Whilden Moore. They were blessed to have three children. Mr. Moore was a professional dental technician and the owner of Moore Dental Laboratory for fifty years before his retirement. He was also a life member of Coastal Georgia Gun Club.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton William Moore and Lena Modena Moore; a son, Don Moore; one brother, Courtland Moore; and a sister, Betty Hagin. He is survived by his loving wife, Maryann Whilden Moore of Brunswick, GA; a son, Christopher Andrew Moore (Teri) of Brunswick, GA; a daughter, Brenna Dewitt (Tommy) of Brunswick, GA; three grandsons, Christopher Moore (Rebekah), Marshall Moore, and Tom Dewitt; four granddaughters, Mckenzie Dewitt Rashad (Tony), Ashli Holman (Nick), Ariel Moore, and Dawn Dean (Wade); a sister, Madge Moore of St. Simons Island, GA; dearest friends, Don and Dortha Myers; and beloved companions for their lifetimes Bud and Molly. Numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews also survive.
Mr. Moore loved to spend time with his family and friends. After his retirement, he became known for the citrus fruit he grew for his friends and neighbors. He was also an avid gun collector and enjoyed loading his own ammunition. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
The family will have a gathering at a later date to honor his life and reflect on a life well lived.
