

Rolland Matthew (Matt) Favre, 62, passed away peacefully Friday, Nov. 4th, at Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, GA after battling cancer for several years. Matt was born Sept. 3, 1960 in Fort Monmouth, NJ.
His family knew him as a man who put family, friends, and music first. Matt was a true sports fan, especially of the Washington (Redskins) Commanders and the St. Louis Cardinals. He most enjoyed watching his own sons play baseball in their youth and then lacrosse, football, and wrestling in high school.
Matt was a highly accomplished entrepreneurial executive with 30+ years of experience in operational management encompassing startups and large telecommunications organizations. Relocating many times throughout his career, Matt was the VP/GM of Charter Communications in Duluth, GA, leading the GA/AL region for 13 yrs. Later he worked as Pres/GM for LICT and Western New Mexico Telephone Co. in Silver City, NM, retiring in 2021.
He is survived by his love of his life, wife & best friend, Audra Favre of Brunswick, GA; his sister, Debra Favre (Michael Bailey) of Wilmette, IL; his son, Tyler Favre (Hailey), grandsons, Kreed and Krew, all of Jefferson, GA; and his son, Ryan Favre of DeLand, FL. Matt was preceded in death by his father, LTC Rolland M. Favre (US Army, retired) and his mother, Setsuko Shinoda Favre. He also has a fantastic group of friends and extended family who were a big part of his wonderful life.

A celebration of life to be held at a later date. Edo Miller Funeral Home, Brunswick, GA, is responsible for final arrangements.
