During this time he met and married the love of his life, Donna. Together they traveled the world, settling in Brunswick.
Butch was an electrician, employed by Island Electric and Malone Electric for many years. He was a member of Taylors United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and often had his two favorite beagles by his side.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Tyrer; daughter, Lindsey Jones; son, Luke (Lacie) Tyrer; beloved grandchildren, Ryan Shimkus, William Tyrer, Leah Tyrer, and Walker Tyrer; his mother, Lynn Tyrer; and two brothers, Rick Tyrer and Robbie Tyrer. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins from Georgia, Florida, and Michigan.
Butch was a kind soul who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He always met you with a smile, a joke, or a fun fishing story. He will be missed and remembered by many. As the sun sets on Butch’s life, we say thank you God for the time you gave us with him.
Visitation will be held on Friday August 4, from 10:00 – 11:00 am at Taylors United Methodist Church. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Taylors United Methodist Church or Faithworks Ministries.
