

Mr. Boatright was a native of Alma, Georgia and had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 45 years. He was a graduate of Bacon High School in Alma. He was employed with Transus Transportation and was retired from Georgia Pacific Co. He attended Emanuel United Methodist Church.
He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and a loyal friend to all. He was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Annabelle Boatright of Alma, Sisters, Beverly Boatright and Melba Dixon of Alma, a brother, Huelon Boatright of Brunswick and his mother-in-law, Hazel Reddick of Brunswick.
Survivors are his wife of 36 years; Debbie Boatright, two sons, Chad Boatright (Jo Ann) of Woodstock, Ga., and Macajaih Swilley (Mauri) of Brunswick, daughter; Laurie Adams (Chad) of Gainesville, Fl., grandsons; Ryan Boatright of Enterprise, Al., Michael Boatright of Woodstock, Ga. and Christopher Adams of Gainesville, Fl., granddaughters; Kelsey Swilley of McKenzie, Al., Kayla Swilley and Kali Swilley both of Brunswick, two brothers; Wendell Boatright (Jean) of Brunswick and Winston Boatright (Jeanne) of Waynesville, Ga., five sisters; Thelma Carter, Joyce Rowland (Chuck), Jenny Harden all of Alma, Ga., Eulene Smith, Elgene Lee (Gary) both of Brunswick, sister-in-law; Diane Boatright of Brunswick, father-in-law; Leonard Reddick of Brunswick, brother-in-laws; Joe Hale (Dolores) and Chris Hale both of Brunswick, F. A. Hale (Wilma) of Calhoun, Ga., Mike Hale (Charlene) of Kingsland, Ga., and a sister-in-law; Kay Moseley (Hoyt) of Screven, Ga., several nieces and nephews and many special and caring friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am Tuesday 3/23/10 at Emanuel United Methodist Church with Rev. Carl Barnhardt officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be: Gary Turner, Ed Anderson, Mike Hale, Chris Hale, Donnie O’Quinn, and Luke Turner.
The family will receive friends in the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 PM Monday and request contributions to the Emanuel United Methodist Church or the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
