

Bill was born December 28, 1916 in Duquesne, Pennsylvania the son of the late Wiley Gehoe and the late Olive Gehoe. He was a graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. degree in Business. He also was a member of the Delta Upsilon Fraternity at Penn State University. He served his country with honors in the United States Navy Air Corp during World War 11. He served during the Pacific Ocean Theater, a major theater of the war between the United State Allies and Japan. Bill was the devoted husband to Magaret “Peggy” B. Gehoe for sixty-eight years. They were blessed to have two daughters. Bill and his wife moved to Saint Simons Island, Georgia on Labor Day in 1980. They enjoyed spending their retirement together on the Island and formed many lasting friendships over the years.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents Wiley and Olive Gehoe. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret “Peggy” B. Gehoe; two daughters, Linda Suppanich (P.J.) of Antioch, CA and Sandra McNutt (Thomas) of Riverside, California; three wonderful granddaughters, Amanda Suppanich, Nicole, and Erica McNutt.
Bill loved to spend time with his family and friends. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed following the PGA Tour on television. He also had a passion for making golf clubs taking great pride in every small detail of each club. He honed his craft in his workshop at his residence on Saint Simons Island. Bill also marketed several of his hand made golf clubs over the years. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will have many fond memories to cherish for years to come.
