

Willie Mae Carter Brazell, 97, of Brunswick, passed away Friday, the 14th of December 2012 at Senior Care Center in Brunswick. A funeral service will be held 11 AM Wednesday the 19th of December 2012 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Crandall officiating. Interment will follow in Palmetto Cemetery. Serving active pallbearers will be Chris Taylor, Patrick Aldridge, Derek Reynolds, Josey Reynolds, Mike Lewis, and Paul Redding. Honorary pallbearers are Ivalee and Frank Roberson.
Family will receive friends 10 AM Wednesday the 19th of December 2012 until service time in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
A native of Alma, GA born the 4th of March 1915 to the late Leander Bland, and the late Sanella Carter. Mrs. Brazell had been a resident of Brunswick for the past 80 years. She was employed with JC Penny’s from which she retired after 19 years of service. Mrs. Brazell was a member of the First Baptist Church of Brunswick, where she also attended the Dorcas Sunday School Class.
Mrs. Brazell loved fishing, cooking, sewing and camping where she and her husband were proud members of Good Sams Camping Club.
In addition to Mrs. Brazell’s parents, she is preceded in death by both of her husbands Emory Benjamin Taylor and Earl Madison Brazell; her son: John Emory Taylor; and her great-great-granddaughter Taylor Madison Reynolds.
Survivors include: her sister: Barbara Wagner of Thomasville, GA; a daughter in law: Tusha Taylor of Brunswick, GA; two granddaughters: Edwina Aldridge of Darien, GA and Johnette Fraser of Everett, GA; five great grandchildren: Christopher Taylor, Patrick Aldridge, Pam Lacey, Derek Reynolds and Josey Reynolds all of Brunswick, GA; a step son: Earl V. Brazell of Brunswick, GA; and four great-great grandchildren.
Mrs. Brazell’s family would like to thank the nurses and staff of the Senior Care Center for the wonderful care that was provided for her.
