Angela Maria Loria

December 1921 – November 2015

With deep sorrow we announce the passing of our cherished mother and nonna, who passed away peacefully on November 21, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Angela Maria was a guiding light in our lives and to so many. She cared a great deal about everyone and was eternally positive in the way she lived. Family was the utmost importance in her life. Angela Maria had a passion for cooking for her family at their gatherings. She loved working in her garden and enjoyed wine making with her husband Salvatore. She lived her life with a deep devotion to her faith. Angela Maria will be deeply missed by her sons Alvin (Pat), Mario (Paula), Tony and her grandchildren Mark (Mary), Trevor (Tamara), Aprile (Aaron), Danielle, Samantha (Corey) and Matthew. Nonna will also be missed by her numerous great grandchildren and many close friends. Angela Maria was predeceased by her loving husband Salvatore, her son John and his wife Ellen and many close relatives. The family wishes to give a special thanks to the staff in unit 42 at the Foothills and her physician Dr. Wayne Hoy. Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Sunday, November 29, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. A Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church 640 - 19 Ave N.W., Calgary, AB T2M 0Y8 on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Alberta, 100, 119 – 14 Street N.W., Calgary, AB, T2N 1Z6.
