Anna Holman

November 22, 1929 – December 28, 2015

Our beautiful, loving Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother passed away peacefully, with dignity and grace at the age of 86 years on Monday, December 28, 2015 at the Peter Lougheed Hospital. She was surrounded and cared for by her loving family. Anna will be forever lovingly remembered in the hearts of her son Francis Holman (Wendy Holman) and her four daughters Valeria Knezevic, Veronica Holman, Victoria Atkins (Wayne Atkins) and Virginia Holman; twelve wonderful grandchildren; seventeen amazing great-grandchildren; and her assistant Tony Davis. Anna was predeceased by her beloved husband Paul Orban Holman, who passed away in 1993, and eldest daughter Nusi. She was adored by many friends and relatives from around the world. Anna was born in Hungary, she became a resident of Calgary in 1957. She touched the lives of many with her most caring and kind nature in all the walks of her life. Anna was presented an award from the City of Calgary by former Mayor Mr. Jack Leslie. She was a brilliant business woman, inspiring to all who knew her with the joyful, honourable and fearless way she lived her life. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Saint Elizabeth Hungarian Church, 819 - 13 Ave S.W., Calgary, AB on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a luncheon.
