Anny Ngan - Mui Lau

Surrounded by the love of her family, Anny (Fung Ngan Mui) Lau went home to be with her Lord and Saviour on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at the age of 74 years. Her faith was the quiet anchor of her life, guiding her in every act of kindness and every word of encouragement she offered.

Born in a small village in Yong'an, Gaoyao County, Guangdong China, Anny and her father moved to Hong Kong to live, after her mother’s early death. It was there, in 1967, that she met the love of her life, Stephen Lau. After 4 years of dating, they married and remained together, supporting one another through their faith in the Lord, for over 55 years. In March 1976, Anny and her family immigrated to Canada and first settled in Calgary, Alberta. After 5 years, they then moved to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan where she and Stephen built their lives and raised their family.

After retiring, she and her beloved husband spent several years travelling around the world. She carried the love of Christ with her wherever she went. Those journeys were some of the most joyful and meaningful chapters of her life.

Anny was the loving mother to 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband Stephen Lau and their children: Shirley (Chris) Ooraikul, William (Iris) Lau, Sclina (Simon) Wong; and her grandchildren: Ashley Lau, Clementine Lau, Zoe Wong and Ava Wong.

Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at a visitation held at Foster’s Garden Chapel, 3220 – 4th St N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

A Funeral Service will be held at Foster’s Garden Chapel on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. For those who wish to attend virtually, please use the link provided below.

Interment will follow at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
