Mrs. Auralia Gurtler beloved wife of the late Mr. Rudolf Gurtler, and long time resident of Calgary, passed away in Lethbridge, AB on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the age of 83 years. Auralia fondly known to friends and family as “Goldie” will be deeply missed by her son Allen, (Linda) Gurtler, and daughter Debra (Kevin) Murphy. Granddaughters; Candice Malo, Lisa Gurtler, Kristy (Shane) Vassell, and Tanya (Travis) Conrad as well as Great Grandchildren; Jordan and Cailie Malo and Benjamin Vassell will keep their fond memories of Grandma Goldie close to their hearts. Auralia was predeceased by her sister Mary and her brother Joseph. She is also survived by her sister Elizabeth and brothers Donald and Tony. A Funeral Service was held at St. Luke’s Catholic Church, 1566 Northmount Dr. N.W. Calgary on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 1:00p.m. A private family Graveside Service followed. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly to St. Michael's Palliative Health Care Centre, 1400 – 9 Avenue S., Lethbridge, AB T1J 4V5.
