Bernice is survived by son Loyed (Vicki) and daughters Julia Mitchell (Mark), and Lisa Trenka (Morris Gamblin); grandchildren John (Alanna), Melissa (Karl), Sonya, Tasha, John-Paul (Jackie), Matthew, and Sylvia (Madi); great grandchildren Ginger, Ark, Sophia, Daxon, Zeeland, Hayden, and Vivi. She is predeceased by husband John, son Michael, and son-in-law Kelly Trenka
Bernice worked many years as an RNA, and was committed to the care of her patients. She had a lifelong love of sewing and enjoyed making gifts for family and friends. For many years, her favorite vacation destination was Honolulu, Hawaii, where in addition to enjoying the beauty and culture of the island, she participated in many fundraising walks.
The family would like to extend their thanks and deep appreciation to the medical staff of Unit 38 at Peter Lougheed Hospital.
There will be a private family celebration of life at Fosters Garden Chapel.
