Blessing Chijindu Nwakanma Echefu

November 22, 1970 – December 23, 2016

On Friday, December 23, 2016, in Calgary, Alberta, our beloved Blessing (Chiji) was unexpectedly called home to be with her Lord at the age of 46 years. Left to mourn her passing is her loving husband Ezenwa; children, Chiamaka, Victor, Daberechi and Samuel; eight sisters, Rev. Mrs. Blessing Obasi Kalu, Mrs. Ruth Chinyere Okorie, Mrs. Justina Chinonyerem Ukpai, Mrs. Stella Ihechiluru Igbokwe, Mrs. Charity Chinalurum Nwosu, Mrs. Elizabeth Onyinyechi Offor, Mrs. Florence Olileanyachi Ofoegbu, and Mrs. Princess Amarachi Aluba Awa; four brothers, Dr. Hudson C Nwakanma, Dr. Prince C Nwakanma, Mr. Jasper U Nwakanma, and Mr. Onunna N. Nwakanma; in-laws, Mrs. Enda Echefu (Mother In-law), Barr Nerry Echefu Dr. Okechukwu Echefu, Mr. Chinaka Echefu, Barr Ndubueze Echefu, Mrs.Gloria Onyiruka and Mr. Emeka Echefu. She is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, uncles, nieces and nephews. Blessing is predeceased by her father, Rev. Dr. J. N. Nwakanma; mother, Rev. Mrs. Rose Nwakanma; sister, Mrs. Ihuoma Ahunnaya Nwaubani and in-laws Mrs. Blessing Nwakanma and Mrs. Patience Nwakanma. Relatives and friends are invited to a Wake Keeping, Service of Songs held at Falconridge/Castleridge Community Association, 95 Falshire Dr. NE, Calgary, AB, on Friday, February 24, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at BP Church, 16 Bermuda Dr. NW Calgary, AB, on Thursday, March 2, 2017, at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
