I worked with Bonnie several decades agovery early in my teaching career.  She introduced me to one of her passions (serving as an ATA school representative)a position that I subsequently carried out for most of my teaching career.  I enjoyed reconnecting with Bonnie off-and-on throughout the years, often courtesy of a teachers' reunion that used to be held annually in the Bowness area.  I had lost track of your mom in the past few years and just learned of her passing through the CRTA Winter Newsletter.  My sincere condolences on your loss.

Bonnie was a wonderful leader and educator in our community!  God Bless you Bonnie for all that you've done for others.

I had the opportunity to work for Bonnie when she was first elected as an MLA and I was always touched by her kindness and dedication to people, her work, her constituents and her family. She will be missed.

Your loss is a loss for all Albertans. Bonnie Laing was a special person who used her intelligence, dedication and kindness to the betterment of all. I knew her when she was the Chair of AADAC. She demonstrated her many good qualities during this time. She took the time to become informed, contributed in every way she could and brought her kindness and strengths to further the goals of AADAC.
On a personal note, she took time from her busy schedule to attend and offer support at a time when I had a personal loss.

One of the kindest individuals I was lucky to have as a colleague in the legislature.   She brought heart and soul to the job,  Deepest sympathies to the family.

Deepest sympathies to Bonnies family and many friends. I had the privilege of being on the PC Constituency Association Board when Bonnie was the serving MLA and got to know her well. She was a warm and caring person with a great sense of humour who was always a pleasure to be around. Her love and support for the protection of nature and the Paskapoo Slopes was much appreciated.

I worked on Bonnie's election campaigns and she was a great influence in my life. She inspired me to be a better person and do more for my community.  There are very few with Bonnie's humanity who have entered politics to serve.  The world has lost another great spirit, but her legacy lives on inside us.

Please accept my sympathy on the passing of your mom.  You might not remember me but our family knew your mom and your grandparents very well.  In fact my mom babysat you from the time you were born,  for many years.  Her name was Audrey Parks and my dad Lloyd Parks was a good friend of your dad. I will remember her fondly from our high school years, she kept us on the straight and narrow with her kindness and sense of humour. I have thought of her often, and will remember her always. Please accept my deepest sympathies. Mrs Laing was the best teacher I ever had. Her passion and love for politics inspired me to become a social studies teacher. I will never forget our grade 4 election we had at W.O.Mitchell, every student had a very specific and important job to do, we even had scrutineers. She was a loving and caring teacher who didn't forget any of her students. She even took time out of her day years later when many of us W.O.Mitchell students she taught graduated from Bowness High School. My sincere condolences.

My sincere sympathy on the loss of your Mum. I "worked" with Bonnie on Provincial Housing Committee and numerous other sub-committees dealing with housing for those in need. She was always so passionate and caring, we would meet for lunch to discuss the issues. There are so many wonderful memories of a great lady, hold them close. May she rest in peace. Take care.

I worked with Bonnie when she was Chairperson for AADAC in Edmonton and also in her Calgary MLA office.  She was a true professional and dedicated to helping people. She will be remembered as a wonderful, kind and loving woman who always made time to listen to her staff and constituents.  Most of all I loved her incredible sense of humor. I am sad to hear of Bonnie's passing.  She was a long-time family friend dating back to the late 1940's. Her brother Johnny was one of my best friends in Bowness.  Her parents, John & Alice, helped our family  cope after my father's death in WWII. Sincere condolences to the Laing family.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my godmother, Bonnie. May  Starr and her family know that my thoughts are with them. She was very special in my younger years.
