He is lovingly remembered by his wife Gwen, sons Gabriel and Angela, Gideon and Julie, Joseph and Valerie, and grandchildren Arlen James (AJ), Nathan, Matthias, Elias, Caleb, Caliana, Winston, Joshua, and Silas.
He was born on May 21, 1934 in Toishan, China. He grew up during wartime and his childhood hardships reflected the words of Psalm 23:4 in which he walked through the valley of the shadow of death, yet God saved him. He later moved to Hong Kong and studied at the Oriental Missionary Society to be a servant for God, then became a preacher in 1965. He immigrated to Canada in 1967, then in 1970, he served as a pastor for 7 years at Chinese United Church in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Wing and Gwen were married in 1972. They moved to Calgary in 1978 where Wing worked for Lucerne Foods until he retired in 1998.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed traveling, playing Chinese Chess, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was always thankful for the blessings of God and testified to the goodness and faithfulness of God in his life.
