Clarence passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at the age of 96 years. He was born in Stonewall Manitoba, but at a very young age his family moved to Saskatchewan. Clarence moved to Calgary in 1941 and had resided here since. He lived in the Forest Lawn area for the past sixty years. Clarence is survived by a stepdaughter Ramona (Harold) Boettger, stepson Delvin (Elisabeth) Mohr, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. He is also survived by one brother Charles E. Bewell and one sister Christina Taylor, and many nieces and nephews. Clarence was predeceased by his beloved wife, Blanche in 1996, and by his four sisters, Bertha Watson, Olive Nichols, Marguarite Meehan and Evelyn Lehner. He served with the R.C.A.F. from 1942 to 1946. A Funeral Service will be held at FOSTER’S GARDEN CHAPEL, 3220 – 4 Street N.W., Calgary (across from Queen’s Park Cemetery) on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 10:00a.m. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens, 17 Avenue at Garden Road S.E., Calgary.
