

Cui was the proud mother of six children, their spouses, 9 grandchildren and one great grandson. Cui was born in the city of Toi Shan, Canton, China on June 05, 1929 and was married to Mr. Zhen Sen Huang in 1956. This beautiful marriage maintained for 41 years until Mr. Huang passed away in 2017.
Since her young age, she had been a knowledge pursuer, which was exceptional in that time in the country side farm land in China. In 1953, she graduated from the Toi Shan Private Girl Education School and then became a teacher. Due to her loving and sacrificial personality, she was so respected and beloved by all the personnel and students in the school. A few years later, she started working in bank, servicing the financial needs of the community. In both sectors, she achieved infinite success. Through those years, Cui had shown her enthusiastic as voluntary worker, serving the people in town in matters like writing letters, completing government documentations and more, especially for those who had never received any education which was not uncommon in those days.
Their third child, Meng Yu Huang, was granted land immigrant privilege by Canadian Government that allowing her moving to Calgary. Based on Meng Yu’s success, Cui Lan and her whole family were able to migrant to Canada in the following few years, starting their new page of live in Calgary. As most immigrants, good life in a new environment did not go unchallenged. However, due to their hard work, Cui and her husband were successful in the building of their lovely and strong family.
Cui was recognized by her family and friends as a kind hearted, frugal, helpful and happy lady; other people’s need always came before her own. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends, but will never be forgotten by any.
