

It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of Donald Ridley on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the age of 80 years. He passed peacefully away at home. Donald was born in Calgary, AB to Thomas and Madeline Ridley, and he lived his whole life in Calgary.
Donald was a passionate man who enjoyed restoring old cars, was an amateur radio operator VE6HN and he loved Bluejays baseball. He was a member of Chapelhow Legion 284 and the O.B.S. Donald worked at the City of Calgary first as a transit driver, then as a mechanic for the fire department then finally in the 9-1-1 emergency dispatch office.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sharon, daughter Donna, son Stephen, grandchildren Alex and Madison and his sister Helen Gulley of Kamloops, BC.
The family will receive friends and family at a Memorial Service held at Chapelhow Legion 284, 606 – 38 Avenue N.E., Calgary, AB, on Saturday, January 13, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
