

Doreen was born July 8, 1937 in Medicine Hat, Alberta to John and Rose Kanewischer.
She was very active with the Fairview Community Association, overseeing one of the cities most successful volunteer Bingo nights, which raised money to help build the Fairview Arena and Teen Center. She also enjoyed playing and watching curling. Doreen was involved as a returning officer in both Federal and Provincial elections and with the Canada Census. For many years Doreen managed Murdoch Manor, a well-known seniors building in downtown Calgary, and most recently became a Gold Life Master with the American Contract Bridge Association.
A private family service was held in Calgary.
Doreen is survived by her sons Ross and Murray Green; brothers Lloyd and Jerry Kanewischer; as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
