Doreen Margaret Shorter passed away from congestive heart failure and COPD on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at the age of 83 years. She will be lovingly remembered and terribly missed by daughter Nancy (Patrick) Whelan, granddaughter Mairead and grandson Sean, all of Calgary. Doreen was predeceased by her beloved son, Greg in 2006. No service by request. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made directly to the Edmonton Down Syndrome Society, 9139 – 39 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6E 5Y2 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Big Brothers Big Sisters.
